be considered. A Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse (RN-NICU)
opportunity is available in Indian Trail, NC, offering a contract
position at a well-equipped community teaching hospital. This role
involves providing specialized care to neonates aged 32 weeks and
above, focusing on stabilizing and supporting infants requiring
higher-level care. Responsibilities: Deliver attentive nursing care
in a 7-bed NICU unit with patient ratios typically 1:2 or 1:3,
assisting infants mostly categorized as growers and feeders.
Utilize strong neonatal resuscitation (NRP) skills to stabilize
infants and collaborate with core staff during high-risk
deliveries. Engage with multidisciplinary teams including CNAs,
respiratory therapists, neonatologists, and lactation consultants.
Employ hospital technologies such as EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps,
Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors. Maintain
compliance with unit scheduling including weekend rotations and
holiday volunteer work; shift hours are 7:00 AM7:00 PM or 7:00
PM7:00 AM on a 6-week schedule cycle. Qualifications and Desired
Experience: Active RN license with at least 1 year of NICU
experience. Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS) and
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Comfort with neonatal
stabilization and familiarity with NICU patient care protocols.
First-time travel nurses welcome; cross-unit floating is optional
