Position Summary As a Facilities Maintenance Technician II , you'll take charge of maintaining and repairing critical systems, including plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and HVAC, at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport, NC. This role involves a variety of tasks like changing filters, performing repairs, conducting preventative maintenance, and assisting in inventory compliance. Location: Charlotte Douglas International Airport, NC Schedule: (8am-5pm) (Flexible Days Off) Wages: $25 - $27 per hour Benefits Include: • 401(k) with company match • Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance • Employee Assistance Program • Tuition Reimbursement • Short and Long-Term Disability Insurance • Life Insurance • Paid Time Off and Birthday Off ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Diagnose and repair a variety of building systems and equipment. • Conduct HVAC maintenance, including filter changes and coil cleaning. • Follow all safety protocols, including OSHA, PPE requirements, and site-specific guidelines. • Use a computer-based CMMS system to log work orders, hours, and maintenance records. • Available for emergency on-call coverage as needed. • Maintain a clean, organized workspace. • Collaborate with service personnel, inspectors, and vendors as required. Qualifications • Experience: Minimum of 4 years in mechanical, electrical, or HVAC maintenance, with a focus on plumbing and carpentry • Skills: Strong problem-solving and customer service abilities • Attitude: Adaptable, self-disciplined, and positive team player Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Attributes for Success • Reliable, self-disciplined, and detail-oriented. • Ability to work well in fast-paced environments and adapt quickly. • Positive attitude and willingness to support and share knowledge with the team. Working Conditions • Full-time (40 hours per week) with occasional overtime. • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and lift up to 75 pounds regularly. • Must be able to work in varied environments, including exposure to weather, mechanical, electrical, and noise hazards. Additional Requirements • Background Checks: Must pass Keystone Management and Federal Aviation Administration background checks. • Clearance: Must successfully complete the Charlotte Douglas airport SIDA badge and drivers test (up to two attempts). • Driver’s License: Valid license and a clean driving history. Note: Candidates selected for contingent offers must pass background, drug screens, and motor vehicle checks.
