Manage all aspects of purchasing for the company, including sourcing and negotiating with suppliers and vendors to obtain the best quality materials, supplies, and services at the most competitive prices.2. Evaluate and analyze contractor bids, utilizing your expertise in estimating to ensure that our company is getting the best value for our money.3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, fostering partnerships that benefit both parties and ensuring a consistent supply of necessary materials and services.4. Work closely with project managers and other team members to understand their needs and provide them with the materials and services necessary to complete their projects on time and within budget.5. Regularly review and update our company's purchasing policies and procedures, ensuring that they are in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.6. Monitor market trends and changes, adjusting our purchasing strategies as necessary to take advantage of opportunities and mitigate risks.Qualifications:1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a purchasing role within the construction industry, with a strong focus on estimating and managing bids.2. Proven experience in homebuilding and residential construction, with a thorough understanding of the materials, supplies, and services necessary for these types of projects.3. Excellent negotiation skills, with a proven track record of securing high-quality materials and services at competitive prices.4. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate and analyze contractor bids and make informed decisions based on this analysis.5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and team members.6. A strong sense of integrity, with a commitment to conducting all purchasing activities in a fair and ethical manner.7. Proficiency in relevant software, including purchasing and project management software.8.
