  • Commission guarantee first six months.Role Description:
    The objective is to grow our business (tons sold of carbon, stainless and aluminum products) within our existing customer base, and with new customers, by growing our overall net active account base and leveraging our extensive prospect database.
    • Daily outbound phone calls to existing and potential new steel users for Dillon Supply (metal fabricators, fab shops, welding shops, trailer manufacturers, recycling companies---) in focus markets (Charlotte NC and Greenville SC).
    • Hit targets set in terms of outbound calls made, orders won, tons sold, and new customers set-up
    • Build relationships with existing customers and prospects to earn and grow their steel business with us.
    • Explain to each prospect Dillon Supply's capabilities and product offering
    • Understand the key factors in customers' buying decisions (pricing, service, lead-time---)
    • Understand customer's buying habits, and type of material most used.
    • Recommend Inventory Additions to support sales effort based on customers' feedback
    • Provide pricing and stock availability promptly to customers over the phone
    • Follow-up on quotes submitted
    • Understand how to be competitive in each market by getting feedback from customers
    • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as monthly call reports, monthly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analysis.
    • Help resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; develop solutions and make recommendations to management.

      Requirements:
      • Excellent communication skills and customer service focus
      • Ability to be organized and follow-up on tasks
      • Must be knowledgeable on metals products
      • Experience as a customer service representative and/or sales professional in the Steel Industry is a plus
      • Experience making outbound calls is a plus
