Job Description:

TITLE: Senior Business AnalystLOCATION: Charlotte, NC -JOB SUMMARY: Translate complex business needs into functional requirements documents that will be used by developers to make system enhancements to meet business needs. Document data flow diagrams and business process flows. Conduct requirement analysis and define functional specification documents. Identify limitations and constraints of AS-IS and TO-BE systems. Interact with subject matter experts and stakeholders to understand client business processes and gather business requirements. Conduct requirement elicitation through cost benefits analysis and feasibility studies. Assist in business process redesign and documentation for new technology. Use Visio to develop business process flow diagrams. Negotiate agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business units, IT, and vendors from initial requirements to final implementation. Prepare documentation for high-level user stories, milestone schedule, deliverables and resource allocation to create and maintain the project plan. Use SQL to write queries and analyze data. Assist with User Acceptance Testing to ensure system designed as per the client requirements. Assist project managers in development of project plans and use associated project planning tools as needed. Support Agile Scrum process and software development life cycle, including using JIRA, as well as documenting and working through systems issues as part of a business analysis team. The Senior Business Analyst does not supervise any team members directly as the position's supervisor, Manager, IT, directly supervises team members. -EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience in requirement elicitation; creating business requirement documents; leading design and translating high-level business requirement into functional requirements; using CSG or ICOMS billing domains to examine, identify, recommend, and author requirements directly associated with vendor driven enterprise-wide billing systems; using SQL to write queries and analyze data; Agile Scrum process, including using JIRA; using Visio to develop workflow and UML diagrams; and in Cable and Telecommunication industry
