AmesburyTruth is looking for a Maintenance Electrician to join our
team! As the Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for
ensuring proper operation of production equipment by
troubleshooting, identifying problems and performing repairs. Work
will be performed on various production equipment including
cutters, pullers, conveyors, compressors, chillers, extruders,
water baths, and other production and auxiliary equipment.
Responsibilities
- Restore or repair electrical functions on equipment and
machines including motors, drives, controllers, heaters, sensors
and other associated industrial controls.
- Follow schematics, diagrams, operation manuals, manufacturer's
instructions and/or engineering specifications for both
troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
- Take initiative on open work orders with direction from lead
people; repair equipment as promptly as possible to minimize down
time; includes all electrical, mechanical and pneumatic machine
operations.
- Determine repair parts and supplies needed and requisition them
through Maintenance Supervisor or Lead.
- Refurbish and upgrade equipment electrical controls on
equipment out of production service in a timely manner.
- Install new machinery or additions to existing machinery,
including fixtures and necessary electric, plumbing and related
hook-ups for the equipment to become fully operational.
- Assist in developing and perform preventive and predictive
maintenance on equipment and machines in plant as needed.
- May be required to perform other duties as requested by
supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area.
Requirements
Requirements
- Prior industrial electrical maintenance experience and
knowledge
- Ability to read, write and comprehend written instructions
- Knowledge and ability to use machine shop tools and measuring
equipment.
- Ability to understand and use electrical measuring tools.
- Must be able to establish and maintain effective working
relationships with co-workers
- Electrical/Mechanical degree or 3+ years of related work
experience
- Forklift and scissor lift operation necessary
- Able to properly diagnose equipment malfunctions and replace
defective parts of extrusion machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Thorough understanding of machine electrical controls and
components.
- Understanding and ability to apply NFPA 79 standards
