YOUR ROLE

• A flex hybrid work schedule is possible after the on-boarding period.
• Generate purchase orders to secure material supply to support manufacturing production schedules.
• Monitor late purchase orders and take actions to mitigate production impact.
• Identify material shortages and support related efforts (including material shortage reports).
  
• Take proactive approaches to identifying reoccurring material issues and determining root cause analysis to prevent future issues or delays.
• Ensure materials are submitted for recertification in advance of shelf-life expiration.
• Manage material inventory - support plant inventory improvement efforts, including:
• Safety stock inventory management for assigned materials.
• Managing healthy inventory for assigned materials to hold
• Bring awareness to MOQ misalignments that generate obsolete, slow moving, and blocked stock risks.
• Take proactive approaches to prevent obsolete, slow moving, and blocked stock for assigned materials.
• Support plant efforts to reduce blocked stock by managing expiring materials and reviewing blocked stock for assigned materials weekly.
• Support and actively participate in weekly blocked stock review meetings.
• Support vendor MOQ initiatives.
• Support and actively participate in site lean 5S program.Support and actively participate in A3 thinking process.
  
  
  
  
  YOUR SKILLS
  
  

  • 1+ years' experience in purchasing and planning structures (MRP).
  • Associates or bachelor's degree in materials management, supply chain, or related field preferred.
  • Problem solving ability and critical thinking skills required.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Experience in a Lean manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to function in a manufacturing plant environment. Also navigate warehouse and reach items both high and low.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds without restriction.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
