Job Description:

We are a custom home builder and renovation company in the Charlotte area with more than 20 years in business. We pride ourselves on our exceptional customer service experience and the personalized attention to every project we work on, regardless of size. The Construction Estimator will have excellent numerical skills and an analytical mindset to perform construction takeoffs and build professional estimates accurately. The estimator must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have strong communication and client service skills. Construction Estimator Responsibilities: You may be asked to perform miscellaneous duties such as but not limited to:

• Conduct quantity takeoffs for all trades and review project plans/specifications to gain a complete understanding of the projects scope
• Utilize technologies and software to improve building efficiency
• Utilize metrics to produce valid estimates
• Visit sites & other venues to gather essential information
• Assist customers with technical information and pricing during pre-construction
• Manage estimating workflow & Pipeline to provide complete proposals before bid deadlines
• Define scopes of work for various trades and distribute subcontract bid packages
• Review each subcontractors' scope of work and negotiate final bid prices
• Calculate total direct cost estimates for each bid
• Assign or propose profit margins based on current pricing guidelines
• Prepare a Bid Summary for each estimate
• Prepare proposals/presentations
• Develop value engineering/cost driver budget and alternatives
• Participate in pre-job and post-job meetings
• Value Engineer jobs as needed Construction Estimator Requirements and Expectations
  • Good understanding of data analysis methods and Key Performance Indicator
  • Familiarity with computer programs such as like UDA Construction Suite, Buildertrend, Planswift
  • Good time-management skills
  • Ability to Focus and complete estimates in a timely manner.

  • Construction Estimating: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills, experience with Xactimate Professional demeanor and appearance, excellent telephone skills. Construction Estimator Pay and Benefits $65,000-$75,000 annual base Production bonuses Flexibility
