Give us a closer look and discover why we are a Great Place to Work!Farnsworth Group is seeking a Sr. CAD Technician Oil & Gas in our Charlotte, NC office. In this role, you will work with our Oil & Gas Group in the planning, drafting, design, and permitting of industrial projects.Job Activities:

• Create civil site drawings from topographical survey data
• Prepare Subsurface Utility Engineering plans from survey data
• Prepare new pipeline alignment drawings, construction workspace plans, and erosion control plans
• Prepare foundation and structural steel detail drawings under direction of a Structural Engineer
• Assemble complete drawing packages for permitting, bidding, and construction purposesSpecific Requirements include:
  • 5 15 years of experience in Computer-Aided drafting
  • Experience with underground utility design
  • Associates degree in Computer-Aided Drafting
  • Proficient in Autodesk Civil3D
  • Ability to effectively plan time commitments on multiple concurrent projects
  • Ability to work independently or on a team with employees in multiple locations
