are currently looking for a Network Security Analyst. As Network
Security Analyst, you will report directly to the Manager, Network
Security Operations. Youwill be a key member of the Network
Security team that is directly responsible for the protection for
all networks (internal, customer-facing, Telcom, etc.) for
Brightspeed.In this role, you will be involved in the team's
day-to-day security engineering and operations. You will be a
technical expert in network security analysis and highly acquainted
with security systems and incidents. You will work directly with IT
on various projects and should have the ability to foster
inter-organizational relationships while managing project
activities such as milestones and timelines.As Network Security
Analyst, your job responsibilities are:
- Provide expert-level analysis and investigation of
security-related data from various security devices
- Interpreting and diligently pursuing immediate corrective
actions required from the analyses of various security
technologies
- Review security system level logs and details related to
potential security investigations
- Assist in the development, periodic review, and enhancements of
security procedures
- Maintain network security team documentation
- Be engaged in the overall security of the enterprise cyber
security network protection
- Key member of Network Security team responsible for the overall
security of Brightspeed networks, including device hardening
initiatives which include monitoring for baseline configuration
compliance and managing remediation
- Takes ownership of all network protection
applications/platforms
- Responsible for documenting, monitoring, and maintaining all
network security devices
- Participates in organizational projects, as required
- Contribute towards updating information security policy,
standards, and procedures
- Proven interpersonal skills including strong verbal and written
communications; ability to effectively work with various
stakeholders
- Participates in an on-call rotation for 24/7 coverage
- Stay updated with the latest cyber security threat landscape,
including following recommended security best
practicesQualificationsWHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cyber
Security, or a directly related fieldor previous related work
experience and cyber security certifications (CISSP, CISM,
Security+, CEH, Azure Security Engineer, etc.)
- 3+ years working in the Network Security field
- 3+ years of firewall management and architecture
experience
- 3+ years of experience with Cisco routers
- 3+ years of experience with Zscaler
- 2+ years of experience with IDS
- Experience in multiple domains of network security
- Experience with network security hardening
- Experience with securing Office 365, Azure AD, Email is
required.
- TACACS+, RADIUS, Wireless Networks, Sensors, DDOS, ZScaler
(ZPA), WAF
- Must have a technical network security background
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing
time-sensitive priorities
- Strong attention to detail to ensure that policies and standard
procedures are followed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with TCP/IP routing and switching, along with
network design best practices
- Moderate level understanding of BGP, OSPF, Network Security,
Switching topologies, and Cloud networking
- Experience in working with Palo Alto Global Protect
- Experience in security administration, management of security
projects and complicated security issuesBONUS POINTS FOR:
- Working knowledge of Zero Trust architectures is a plus
- Experience with security in GCP and Azure is a plus
