The People Analytics Consultant (PAC) will conduct data analysis and discovery to identify trends and correlations to uncover insights. This role will recommend internal and external information that should be analyzed based on key indicators, work to determine root causes, and/or identify areas of concern. The PAC will work closely with the broader People Strategy and Solutions team which focuses on people, process, and technology improvements. In addition, the PAC will interpret the data to provide value-added analysis for all 28 sectors and subsectors.Core responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Compass Group stakeholders to bring insights to the HR leadership team. This includes developing insights and/or gathering data from various sources and interpreting the data to provide value-added analysis
  • Stay plugged into what's happening with competitors, customers, and the global market to identify proactive areas for exploration and discovery
  • Design and execute strategic data analyses
  • Create data sets used to build predictive algorithms, draw correlations between variables, identify trends in HR metrics that are not easily accessible through existing reporting platforms, and scale results through our HR analytics platform
  • Interpret and add value to HR data for all Compass sectors and Centers of Excellence
  • Utilize advanced statistical models to provide predictive and diagnostic insights (e.g., time series, regression, and classification modeling)
  • Develop predictive models for HR projects
  • Drive accessibility to people data and insights through existing HR technology platforms
  • Maintain analytics dashboards, including maintenance of data to support people analytics needs and ensuring accuracy and consistency of key data sets and metrics
  • Accurately assess risk, forecast both long and short-term outcomes, and evaluate the implications in a complex business environment
  • Audit HR data, validate calculations and troubleshoot irregularities; support data governance process
  • Partner with HR, IT, Finance, and Payroll on system feeds
  • Drive continuous process improvements by researching methods to automate and streamline processes
  • Use available tools and resource materials to provide information and resolve issues and requests
  • Learn and apply standard procedures and knowledge to develop solutions within established guidelines related to HR functions
  • Operate with the highest level of confidentiality and ensure adherence to data privacy standardsQualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Analytics, or equivalent experience
    • 5+ years of related Analytics experience, experience with Visier (people analytics platform) preferred
    • 5+ years of R coding
    • HRIS systems, reporting, visualization tools, and data analytics experience are preferred
    • Ability to manage confidential data professionally
    • Strong attention to detail, analytical acumen, and intellectual curiosity
    • Process mapping and procedural documentation skills
    • Requires knowledge of and practical application of testing methodologies and experience
    • Strong problem-solving skills (critical, strategic, and evaluative thinking)
    • Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
    • Flexible written and oral communication skills with a focus on impact, influence, and illustration of meaningful connections
    • Understanding of interdependencies between various systems and downstream impact
    • Experience in maintaining/creating documentation and effectively explaining requirements, design, build, test and deployment
