Credit Karma is a mission-driven company, focused on championing financial progress for our more than 110 million members in the U.S., Canada and U.K. While we're best known for pioneering free credit scores, our members turn to us for tips as they work on their financial goals, including helping them monitor their credit, identity monitoring, searching for credit cards, shopping for loans (car, home and personal), and growing their savings* -- all for free. Credit Karma has grown significantly through the years: we've added more than 70 million members in the last five years alone and now have more than 1,100 employees across our offices in Oakland, Charlotte, Los Angeles and London.

* Banking services provided by MVB Bank, Inc., Member FDIC

As a Senior FP&A Analyst, you'll lead financial reporting, analytics, and planning capabilities with various groups across the company. You will enable teams to deliver on financial and strategic objectives through developing complex forecasts and analyzing how we perform against them. This analysis is shared with leadership and will inform business decisions. You will own models that forecast revenue, variable and centralized expenses, such as headcount or cloud hosting expenses. You should have a high sense of ownership and attention to detail, a natural interest in continuously improving the way the business is viewed and a strong ability to communicate with non-financially minded peers.

What you'll do:

* Partner with cross-functional business partners to develop driver based and bottoms up models to forecast and budget for revenue and expenses
* Own and enhance models that project centralized, company-wide expenses
* Investigate and communicate financial performance variance relative to expectations
* Evaluate the financial trade-offs of business decisions that drive revenue and expense
* Develop business metrics and KPIs to increase company understanding of investments and their relative efficiency
* Streamline existing processes, identify efficiency opportunities and build processes from the bottom up
* Work with stakeholders to develop self service tools and automated reports
* Identify and quantify financial/operational risks and opportunities to the business, and drive ad-hoc business projects

What's great about the role:

* High impact, high visibility role where you'll play a key role in shaping the understanding, reporting and strategic direction of a new and fast growing business unit
* Unique opportunity to be embedded in the business while providing objective and financial perspective that is grounded in data
* Work in a highly cross functional and collaborative environment

What we are looking for:

* Bachelor's degree in Math, Economics, Finance, Business or a related field
* 3+ years of relevant work experience (experience in high growth or tech companies preferred)
* A rigorous analytical background with experience effectively communicating findings to non-financial partners
* Extremely proficient in Excel, Powerpoint and the Google Doc suite

What we would like to see:

* Experience with a financial planning system such as Planful
* Experience managing large lines of company-wide spend, for example headcount or cloud hosting expenses
* Adept at telling a compelling business story through analysis and presentation
* Experience partnering with cross-functional leaders
* Able to focus on multiple projects at once while maintaining expert organization

Benefits at Credit Karma include:

* Medical and Dental Coverage
* Retirement Plan
* Commuter Benefits
* Wellness perks
* Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick, Child Bonding, Cultural Observance)
* Education Perks
* Paid Gift Week in December
