Primary Purpose: Pipeline Analysts will work as part of the team
which identifies prioritized opportunities for the Retail
Innovation Center of Excellence (RI CoE) to pursue. The role will
involve accessing various brand and ADUSA data systems to enable
data analytics to provide insight into potential opportunities.
This role will work to create opportunity heat maps to help
identify areas of opportunity or pain points where greatest value
to brands can be delivered. When ideas are identified in the
Ideation and Prioritization phase of innovation, Pipeline Analysts
will create estimates for the value of benefits that potential
initiatives represent and estimates for cost to pilot and
ultimately deploy the solution. The early analysis done on
potential initiatives will influence which projects the RI CoE
prioritizes, as well as inform budgets and targets for initiatives
and the RI CoE. Duties and Responsibilities: Work with CoE
Innovation Pipeline Team members and IT resources to size expected
benefits and costs to pilot and deploy potential solutions based on
anticipated brand adoption in the Ideation and Prioritization stage
of innovation Develop evaluation criteria and quantifiable critical
success factors for pilots by defining hypotheses of what must be
proved to believe the value case. Support the Innovation Pipeline
Team and Initiative Teams in performing scenario analysis based on
expected brand adoption of potential solutions Collaborate with
ADUSA finance on initiative value case and budgeting for RI CoE
Assist Initiative Teams in updating initiative Scoping Documents by
providing updated ADUSA data related to levers that the solution
addresses Assist Initiative Teams by performing analysis required
to update impact to business/brands based on updated initiative
features, results of in-store tests/pilots, initiative plan
updates, and expected brand adoption Exemplify 'leading self'

access updated data related to shrink, labor productivity, and
other value drivers Identify potential areas of opportunity through
data insights by accessing and analyzing ADUSA data Perform
benchmarking activities (both internal across our brands, and
external vs. peer companies) to highlight opportunities for
innovation and sharing of best practices. Assist in the creation
and updating of 'opportunity heat maps' to be used to generate
ideas for potential solutions Support Innovation Pipeline Director
in performing scenario analysis to provide analytical rigor to
inform prioritization of potential solutions Assist Initiative
Teams in updating Scoping Documents by providing updated data
required to estimate impact to business/brands based on evolving
solution features and results of in-store tests/pilots Work with
ADUSA Data Engineering, Data Scientists, and AI teams to find
opportunity areas and pressure test initiative assumptions.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, or
related field 5 - 7 years experience Navigating and accessing
various data systems, creating models, running advanced
descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics Demonstrated
strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to synthesize
large amounts of data from multiple sources into coherent analysis
and recommendation Proficient in various analytical
tools/methods/knowledge (Inc. tools such as advanced Excel, SQL,
OLAP functions, statistical packages, etc.) Must be able to perform
advanced data analytics and provide actionable insight by
presenting findings in a way that is appropriate for varying
audiences Communicate effectively with all levels of management
