As the Analyst, Treasury you will be a key team member supporting the capital markets team in providing adequate funding and liquidity for the Company, maintaining financial flexibility and managing risks. You will work closely with cash management, FP&A, accounting and our banking partners to ensure that capital markets objectives are met. Please note that this position is in scope to transition to the brokered transportation services company that will be created with the planned separation of XPO's North American Transportation business from its less-than-truckload (LTL) business. What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Participate in the planning and oversight of the company's ongoing capital funding requirements including: Build and maintain financial models and forecasts for debt, interest expense, free cash flow, rating agency, etc. and support execution and tracking of new and existing equipment leases, letters of credit, other credit facilities
  • Participate in the company's FX and interest rate hedging programs including: Support development of interest rate and FX risk hedging strategy and perform market research related to macro-economic, central bank policy, etc. and work with banks to monitor interest Enter primary duty
  • Prepare reporting and calculations for liquidity, debt, cost of capital, derivatives portfolio, FX, counterparty exposures, settlements, etc. Provide support for debt and derivatives financial disclosures
  • Monitor company's defined benefit and defined contribution retirement plans
  • Participate in meetings with asset managers, custodians, investment consultants
  • Review monthly performance and risk exposures, and provide inputs for asset manager line-up, asset allocation decisions
  • Compile pension Support and develop best practices and controls for treasury operations:
  • Cultivate strong relationships with banking partners and trading counterparties
  • Work with cash management team in preparing capital markets wire requests
  • Support compliance with all debt agreements (paying interest and fees, adherence to financial covenants and other reporting requirements)
  • Implement best practices and help identify areas of improvement/provide recommendations to management committee meeting materials and perform administrative activitiesWhat you need to succeed at XPO:At a minimum, you'll need:
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
    • 1 year of related industry experience in corporate finance, accounting, or banking
    • Experience with Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as MS Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Advanced proficiency with Excel VBA macros.It'd be great if you also have:
      • MBA
      • 2+ years related experience
      • Knowledge of Bloomberg, treasury systems, financial derivatives, hedge accounting, VBA Enter preferred education/experience/skills
      • Prioritizes regular tasks, special tasks and concurrent projects, allocating time and resources to ensure that work is completed accurately and efficiently within established time frame
      • Identifies opportunities to increase accuracy and optimize resources and develops/recommends/implements solutionsBe part of something big.
