Job Description:
A Snapshot of Your Day. The primary purpose of this position is
to install, repair, and maintain Complex Numerical Controlled (CNC)
machinery, Manual Controlled machinery (NC), radio-controlled
cranes, and instrumentation, and other plant equipment for Siemens
in an optimum state of repair with maximum operating efficiency and
minimum downtime. How You'll Make an Impact: Receives
written/verbal instructions from supervisor; interprets
drawings/blueprints and determines necessary tools. Determines and
sets alignment checking methods, evaluates data, performs and/or
oversees required adjustments to plant equipment. Diagnoses and
corrects problems associated with equipment performance on complex
electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, and lubrication
systems. Diagnoses, installs, tests, calibrates, and repairs
complex electrical systems, such as motor-starting circuits, AC
magnetic circuits, pilot device systems, pressure and limit
switches, and solenoid valves. Provides technical assistance for
the inspecting, repairs, and electrical maintenance for the
overhead, Jib crane, man lifts equipment, etc. Oversees,
troubleshoots, and performs preventative maintenance on lighting,
heating, and cooling equipment/systems in plant. Repairs,
calibrates, and maintains the welding machine, Mag machines, lamina
drill equipment, X-ray equipment, etc. Cleans, repairs, and
maintains electrical motors. Documents, updates, and maintains
electrical/maintenance and results records. Inventories,
determines, and submits parts and material requisitions, as needed.
Maintains tools, work area, and equipment in clean and orderly
fashion. Abides by all company policies regarding safety/health
rules and regulations. Adapts to various situations and adjusts to
shifting priorities. What You Bring: Minimum of a 2-year technical
college education or 3 to 5 years of electrician experience
preferred. Must also be able to read, write, understand, and follow
verbal and/or written instructions. Must have knowledge of Siemens
840D or Fanuc controls for troubleshooting. Knowledge of Siemens
step 7 preferred. Successfully pass the Maintenance Electrician A
