This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday to Friday.
Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our
8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am -
5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work
occasional overtime or weekends. -
This will be on the job training and the hours during training will
be 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday - Friday.
*All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth
Group's Telecommuter Policy.
- Provide expertise claims support by reviewing, researching,
investigating, negotiating and resolving all types of claims as
well as recovery and resolution for health plans, commercial
customers and government entities.
- Analyze and identify trends and provides reports as
- Ensure adherence to state and federal compliance policies,
reimbursement policies and contract compliance

- High School Diploma / -GED OR equivalent work
- 2+ years of experience in claims recovery and
- 1+ years of experience in subrogation or recovery unit
(processing claims and receiving posting payments, or COB
(coordinator of benefits)
- Moderate proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications,
which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to work full-time between 8:00am - 5:00pm including the
flexibility -to work occasional overtime given the business
- Medical insurance experience
- Experience with insurance billing in a provider or hospital
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is
separated from other living areas and provides information
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group
approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing
high-speed internet service.
- Ability to multi-task, this includes ability to understand
multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each

Washington or Rhode Island Residents Only: The hourly range for
California / Colorado / Connecticut / Nevada / New York / New
Jersey / Washington / Rhode Island residents is $16.00 - $31.44 per
hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to
education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to
