Work in the US JOB SUMMARY:The VIS Application Support Specialist
position is responsible for providing application support and
services to Canteen Vending corporate and field associates. They
are the public face of the IT department and represent the user
perspective in technical operations and project activities.The VIS
Application Support Services Specialist works as a member of the
User Support Services team and is charged to understand the
goals/objectives of that team and how it supports those of the
business. QUALIFICATIONS: 1-3 years of progressive experience in
end-user computing support and application support. Knowledge of
Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Apple operating systems.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook. Knowledge of Compass Group
unit, support services & vending applications Experience installing
and supporting PCs, printers, peripherals, routers, etc. Knowledge
& experience with Internet browsers: Internet Explorer, Chrome,
Firefox and Edge.Education B.S. in Accounting, Computer Science,
Information Systems or certificate from accredited technical school
is preferred. HDI Certified Support Center Analyst (SCA) preferred
2-3 years of Customer Service/Support services experience. 2-3
years of Accounting and Information Systems experience. Knowledge
of Compass financial systems and operational processes is
preferred. Windows 10 operating system experience is preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2016 and O365. Skills Required
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Positive
attitude and excellent customer service skills. Ability to
communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical
audiences. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to
change. Service oriented, collaborative approach to customers and
peer relationships. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and
deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Effective organization and
planning skills. Flexible work schedule will be required. Work
shift that may begin as early as 7:00 AM Eastern or end as late as
7:00 PM Eastern. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS : Develop a thorough
understanding of the Canteen's vending business and operations as
well as existing vending route accountability system Respond to
support requests from both Compass Group Corporate and Field
employees. Troubleshoot and resolve majority of application issues
over the telephone, via chat support, and ticket submission.
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and provide minimal
application training. Work with developers, IT department and
business team members to identify process and/or application
improvements. Assess, track, resolve, and report on incidents and
provide timely response to support requests, following through to
ensure user satisfaction. Participate in system and unit testing to
ensure functionality, accuracy, and quality of application. Track
and report on incidents and provide timely response to support
requests, following through to ensure user satisfaction. Ensure
compliance with support procedures related to timing, reporting and
follow through. Work with 2 nd level Technology & Business support
teams to ensure that incidents are escalated properly and
completed. Document issues and resolutions in support knowledgebase
Handheld device management and SQL knowledge are a plus *Perform
