Trillium Construction is now seeking experienced Pipefitter Foremen for a direct hire opportunity in Charlotte!

Our client, a leading Mechanical Services Contractor, is looking to add to their team! The Pipefitter Foreman will be responsible for overseeing the successful completion of assigned pipefitting construction projects that can vary in scope and size. All work will be in the North Carolina area, primarily in the Charlotte, Winston-Salem, and Greensboro regions.

Salary is open to discussion and ranges from $80,000 to $90,000 annually. This positron comes with full benefits including health insurance, 401k, PTO, paid holidays, and more!

Duties:
-Lead work crews in the pipefitting trade
-Manage 2-6 employees
-Ensures pipefitting staff follows procedures and policies.
-Communicates with contractors on various projects to ensure they achieve quality work in a timely manner.
-Communicates with staff and provides feedback to staff regarding the status of the project.
-Instructs pipefitting staff in the techniques and procedures employed in the hydronic pipefitting trade.
-Pre-plans assigns and reviews the work of the pipefitting staff engaged in the installation, modification, and/or repair of hydronic systems and steam/condensate systems.
-Acts as a working crew supervisor in cutting, threading, soldering, brazing, pressing, grooving, mechanical joint systems, fusion systems similar to Aquatherm, assembling and installing pipe, connecting valves, and pressure testing finished work.
-Repairs and replaces water, steam, air, gas and performs similar work expected in the pipefitting trade.

Qualifications

-Minimum of 8 years of industrial/commercial pipefitting experience
-Must be a Certified Welder
-Familiarity working with various piping materials including carbon steel, copper, ductile iron, and PVC
-Proficient in assembling butt weld and socket weld carbon steel systems including tack welding
-Skills related to cleaning and flushing of hydronic systems is a plus
-Must be able to travel to jobsites
-Computer/Tech Savvy
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Strong math skills
-Ability to pass pre-employment screenings
