Job Summary
The Data Intelligence Solutions Architect is a sales-focused
customer-facing position that will help drive executive
decision-maker conversations with our rapidly expanding clients
while collaborating closely with practice teammates. This
individual demonstrates strong sales acumen and superb technical
competency, delivering both traditional and forward-leaning
data-centric solutions. The Solutions Architect will be responsible
for supporting top-down strategic discussions with clients leading
to the design of large-scale projects with technology platforms and
underlying systems relevant to the domain. The Solutions Architect
will utilize critical thinking and problem solving in support of
executive conversations to deliver exceptional value to our
customers as we help them to select, deploy, and manage their Data
Intelligence solutions and platforms.
The Data Intelligence Solutions Architect will perform their job
duties from a home office or other remote location and reports to
the Managing Director - Data Intelligence. The Data Intelligence
Solutions Architect may also be required to infrequently report to
an SHI office location for internal meetings.

Responsibilities
Include but not limited to:
Interface with customers to understand their business objectives
and communicate the company's Data Intelligence practice
capabilities
Define solutions based on customers' requirements
Create SOW to deliver solutions
Present solutions and gain customer concurrence
Work with internal and/or external resources to deliver
solution
Identify creative, technology-based opportunities to improve
service, reduce costs, and increase revenues with strategic
partners and vendors
Provides data intelligence infrastructure component consulting
services that may include logical design, I/O design, cloud
architecture analysis and design, and systems engineering
Ensure security is integrated into all aspects of solutions and
performs advanced systems modeling, simulation, and analysis as
necessary, leveraging our security practice resources
Consult with clients to proactively ensure the highest levels of
systems automation and infrastructure availability
Conduct assessments for customer data, application and
infrastructure to understand current environment
Engage in customer training on new system operations to accelerate
time-to-value, as necessary, in areas of expertise
Liaise with vendors and customer IT personnel for solution
installation and problem resolution
Maintain fluency and current knowledge of data intelligence
technologies, trends, services and popular tools, partner
offerings
Coordinate resources across service teams and practice areas
Recognize internal teams' education level and enablement regarding
Data Intelligence, then educate them on the available solutions and
services, partners, and ways to leverage resources as tools to
close more deals and drive additional revenue
Obtain feedback from internal Sales teams to identify the value of
Data Intelligence and Analytics
Process and analyze data to understand the behavior of the
buyer/customer
Showcase our company's capabilities to our partners and customers
through assessments, demos, POCs, and/or pilots
Work effectively across company with other groups such as sales,
business development, solution architects, and professional
services to achieve business goals
Develop proposals for implementation and design of scalable data
intelligence architectures
Conduct customer workshops with our Technical Advisory team to
interview customer stakeholders
Participate in internal and Partner workshops and conferences
Analyze multiple sources of structured and unstructured data to
propose and design data architecture solutions for scalability,
high availability, fault tolerance and elasticity
Stay up to date on emerging and evolving end user usage models and
requirements in Data Intelligence and Analytics
Work closely with internal Sales teams and customers at a technical
and user level to design and produce solutions
Host regular meetings with internal teams to drive adoption and
identify leads for potential engagements and opportunities
Develop and author technical information in various formats
including blog posts and white papers
Continue to obtain the necessary individual accreditations and
certifications to meet any partner program/competency
requirements
Organize and provide guidance on specialties to the DI team
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
At least 5 years' experience with data intelligence solutions such
as analytics, integration, quality, cataloging,
visualization/presentation that may include:
Tableau, Pentaho, Talend, Graph, Qlik, Elasticsearch, PowerBI
Experience with data pipeline automation
At least 5 years' experience with DI infrastructure that may
include:
Virtualization and containerization such as VMware, Docker,
Kubernetes
Systems management, logging, and monitoring systems and tools such
as Splunk
Scripting/programming skills a plus, in environments such as
PowerShell, Perl, Ruby, Python, VB, C++, C#, Java, Go
Experience with one or more RDBMS platforms (SQL Server, MySQL,
PostgreSQL)
Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Casandra, HBase,
etc.)
Extensive experience working on large scale IT projects related to
design, deployment and configuration
High-level knowledge that should include:
Infrastructure server and storage components
VMware and virtualization, containers, orchestration
Data management and database experience
Integration platforms such as Informatica, Pentaho, MuleSoft,
Talend, Tibco
Required Skills
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to work individually without much direction while also
working as part of a team towards a common goal
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to define, design systems and solutions
Ability to navigate a variety of data intelligence tools and
systems
Ability to present ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical
and non-technical audiences
Thorough understanding of data intelligence and have experience
with integration of tools for data pipelines
Ability to translate customer requirements to delivery
resources
Certifications Required
The successful candidate will be expected to hold the following
certifications or complete and maintain them shortly after
onboarding.

Additional Information
The estimated annual pay range for this position is $180,000 -
$210,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation
for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills,
experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from
individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited
to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
