SUMMARY
Set up and operate manual N.C. and C.N.C controlled forming and
fabrications equipment, i.e. folders and other brake presses as
required to fabricate sheet metal parts (both standard and
specials).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other
duties may be assigned.
Uses Kewaunees scheduling system paperwork to identify parts
scheduled to run, operations, and standard hours.
Set up and operate manual N.C. and C.N.C. controlled forming and
fabrications equipment.
NC/CNC controlled sheet metal fabricating equipment experience
Windows NT and Windows 7 experience.
Requires frequent change overs and set ups to maximize production
flexibility.
Read blueprints and detailed layout drawings to within 1/1000th of
an inch.
Maintain tolerances within .010 of an inch.
Proficient in using measuring tools i.e.; dial calibers,
micrometers, and tape measures.
Layout parts.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machine and
accessories.
Safety procedures to be followed at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS to perform this job successfully, an individual must

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to
three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience. Basic computer skills.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words
and to recognize similarities and differences between words and
between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple
sentences.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of
measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and
interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed
but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with
problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized
situations.
