Currently, we are searching for an Assemblerto join our facility located in Charlotte, NC.Shift:6am start time end time 2:30pm need to be open to staying latePay: $12.50 - $16 P/H DOEPosition Summary:The Assembler position performs direct manufacturing activities in the production department in support of the department objectives to provide goods and services that meet customer's requirements for quality, quantity, and timeliness.Duties/Responsibilities:General-Responsible to follow Medical Murray Quality system, including all applicable SOP's included in the Training MatrixMaintain good working relationships with other co-workers,act as an example when conflicts occurWork with little supervisionand complete assignments accurately and in a timely mannerMaintain confidential information, in accordance with Company policyAdherence to safety requirementsAssembly Responsibilities-Follow released documents to produce the product, notify the supervisor if a conflict is observedProduce components, subassemblies or final assemblieswith minimal supervisionFollow in-line checks to verify work performed, utilize hand tools as required, such as calipers and rulersPerform in-line product testing on subassembly and finished productsAwareness of quality requirements; identify defects and communicate defects to supervisor and/or engineer for the product through the use of the reject log or direct communicationOperate avariety of simple and complex equipment such as an adhesive dispenser, UV cure, vertical shrinker, braider, tipping machines, and molding equipmentKeep track of materials, tools and procedures as the device are manufacturedDocumentation and Line Clearance-Prepare station and perform line clearance, including all items identified in the line clearance procedure; ensure daily line clearance is completed for each operation performedConfirm training is current before starting work and that procedure is understood, notify a supervisor if a conflict occursPerform daily, weekly and monthly CER cleaning for individual stationsCompletely and accurately fill in LHRs or forms in support of manufacturingProvide job training support to coworkers, as directed-Inform lead or supervisor of issues or unanticipated non-conformances (e.g. calibration out of date, expired material, high scrap rate); stop line as necessaryAdvise supervisor in the event of needed tool or equipment repairsAssists in other work-related areas as requiredQualifications/Education/Experience:Good work ethic, reliable and punctualGets along with diverse personalities, tactful and matureDemonstrated good judgmentWorks on a variety of tasks on a daily, weekly or monthly basisVocational High School Diploma or equivalent experienceMinimum 2 years of manufacturing experience, medical device experience preferredSkills/Knowledge/Abilities:Skilled in multiple relevant processes (3 or more) or product linesGood ability to communicate (read, write, speak)in EnglishAbility to record results, input data into a computerized systemGood hand to eye coordination and manual dexterityAbility to monitor own work to ensure qualityAble to work under a microscopeHave a good basic level of mechanical abilityAbility to use a variety of measurement tools, such as rulers and calipersAbility to use a variety of hand tools such as tweezers, razor blade, scalpel, wire cutter, clippers, needle nose pliers, screwdriver and Allen wrenchesAbility to use a variety of assembly equipment such as lab oven, glue dispenser, heat gun, and soldering iron
