Head of Product Development & State Filings will be responsible for
the entire product development and contract filing function for all
Employee Benefits Products. This individual will be critical to
building and maintaining a strong product portfolio to establish
Equitable as a credible market presence in the Employee Benefits
space. The Head of Product Development & State Filings will be
responsible for managing the in-house product development and
filing team, as well as managing relationships with consultants who
may be retained to assist with product development initiatives.
This role will also be responsible for maintaining ownership of the
State Filings and Approvals of each product, as well as the
compliance associated with those procedures. Responsibilities:
Communication: Understanding of the importance of insightful

Creativity: Knowledge of the approaches, tools, and techniques for
promoting creative, original thinking and ability to apply it to a
variety of business situations.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication
concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit,
receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs
through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Group Insurance: Knowledge of group insurance products, business
processes, market segments and the marketplace; ability to run
applications effectively for the insurance organization's
business.
Matrix Management: Understanding of the importance of being able to
leverage external resources when required and ability to build and
use effective working relationships within own department and
across department, functional, and geographic reporting lines.
Products and Services: Knowledge of major products and services and
product and service groups; ability to apply knowledge of product
and service appropriately to diverse situations.
Teamwork: Knowledge of the necessity and value of teamwork;
experience with; ability to work cooperatively towards shared goals
and being supportive of others at all levels.

applicable EB experience --- Detailed knowledge of group
benefits/voluntary products and market conditions Preferred : ---
Experience managing a team of specialized contributors ---
Demonstrated collaboration and leadership skills to interface with
both internal and external constituents --- Must be comfortable
dealing with both complexity and ambiguity and be able to explore
