role of Lead, eCommerce QA. In this role you will develop and
implement quality assurance standards and measures for the
eCommerce website. This will include implementing software quality
assurance strategy, policies, best practices, and procedures for
all systems and projects and building test plans and cases then run
the test plans down to tactical execution. Will lead QA team
members (on/offshore) assigned to the applicable project and be
responsible for identifying and analyzing quality risks,
determining the test approach, estimating project scope, preparing
time/resource estimates, facilitating the testing schedule and
execution, as well as, providing detailed reporting and analytics
for their relevant project. Key Duties & Responsibilities: The
Lead, eCommerce Quality Assurance's responsibilities include, but
are not limited to:
- Create comprehensive and scalable software quality assurance
project plans for digital platforms, with an emphasis, but not
limited to eCommerce.
- Mentor and train other team members on best practices and
industry standards
- Perform functional, automated, security, performance,
compatibility, data integrity, and exploratory testing
- Interpret project specifications (requirements, architecture,
functionality, and design) and determine scope of test cases needed
to effectively validate features
- Develop and maintain detailed test design, test plan, test
cases, test scripts, and traceability
- Capture business requirements through behavior driven test
scripts
- Create and maintain efficient automated scripts that utilize
clean code and best practice coding standards
- Manage and maintain efficiencies in the automated script
execution and script development through the implementation of
automation best practices
- Proactively work with cross functional teams to define and
understand functional & non-functional requirements
- Leadership role in implementing continuous integration process
to automate and test ongoing development
- Track and report in detail all defects and fixes
- Effectively and proactively communicate statuses and coordinate
cross functional meetings
- Promote, foster and proactively implement use of quality
assurance best practices and standards
- Assist with projects as required to contribute to efficiency
and effectiveness of the work
- Conduct research into new technologies, including tools,
components, and frameworks Required Experience
-
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or
equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance and/or
software development with a minimum 3 years' experience specific to
Ecommerce testing/quality assurance and 1+ years of QA lead
experience.
- 3 years' experience in manual test execution and automated test
creation and execution.
- Must have experience leading QA activities related to testing
complex systems with multiple integration points. Including
coordination of both on shore and off shore resources.
- Must have QA experience working on eCommerce and OMS
systems.
- Must have experience with industry leading bug and test case
management systems
- Must have experience with standard quality assurance processes,
methodologies & framework including but not limited to
white/gray/black box testing, unit testing, functional testing,
regression testing and integration testing.
- Must have experience preparing detailed daily QA status
reports, bug reports etc.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office tools (Powerpoint,
MS Project, Visio, etc).
- Must have experience creating detailed test plans & test cases
for complex integration projects that include in depth coverage of
all positive and negative scenarios. Preferred Experience

- Prefer to have experience estimating QA efforts for complex
projects.
- Prefer to have experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and
best practices.
- Highly desirable to have a strong understanding of SOAP,
WSDL/XML, JavaScript, Ajax, REST technologies. Conn's HomePlus is
