Job Overview

Drive an employee relations strategy built around proactive engagement with teammates and management to create an inclusive, performance-driven culture for a multi-site organization. Receive, investigate, and resolve teammate concerns and issues timely and effectively. Coach and educate leaders on best practices on managing teammate performance.

Job Responsibilities
Act as a liaison between employer and employee to help resolve employee relations issues.
Receive and effectively handle employee concerns and complaints, escalating these complaints to the appropriate level when necessary.
Provide advice and counsel to managers regarding people practices, policy, and employment laws, building their knowledge and capabilities around leading people.
Partner with managers on performance & disciplinary document creation/editing, feedback and coaching for managers, conversation prep, and follow-up.
Manage an Exit data gathering & feedback process including items such as exit surveys, exit interview process, exit tool development, etc.; conducts exit interviews, reports trends back to the business as needed & manages the process on an ongoing basis.
Lead development of Employee Relations reporting, dashboards, monthly business narratives.
Identify Employee Relations operational & service gaps to make the employee experience at Avid the best it can be; recommend areas of improvement and solutions as needed. Executes on these solutions.
Leverage data to drive focus and decision-making.

Required Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
5+ years of HR experience with a focus on employee relations
Experience managing highly confidential information and complex situations with discretion and sensitivity
Working knowledge of employment law required including those enforced by the NLRB
Excellent communication and critical thinking skills required
Possess organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations and solutions to complex employee relations matters
Ability to partner effectively with individuals and groups of management and teammates to incorporate their ideas, adapt to their needs, and to encourage them to accept actions and decisions to implement AvidXchange best practices
Skill in facilitating conflict resolution by negotiating and resolving disputes including effective techniques to persuade and influence others
Strong facilitation and training skills in presenting to small and large groups

Preferred Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent relevant experience, strongly preferred
Master's degree in Human Resources or related field a plus
PHR/SPHR certification preferred
Experience with using an HRIS system (Ceridian) a plus
Formal project management skills and/or PMP certification a plus
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience

Additional Information
Ability to travel up to 25% to support business needs at all locations
