Immediate need for a talented UX Designer with experience in the Utility Industry. This is a 6+ Months Contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Charlotte, NC. Please review the job description below,Job ID: 20-41458Job Description:The role will focus on creating human-centered designs by gathering customer needs, designing graphic elements, and building delightful user experiences. The candidate will be supporting agile teams. The products this candidate will support are a huge part of technically enabling that innovation and transformation.Key Responsibilities:In order to build an exceptional user experience (UX), individuals will be responsible for:--- Gathering and evaluating user requirements in collaboration with business partners and software engineers.--- Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and wireframes.--- Developing both low and high-fidelity UI mock-ups, and prototypes.--- Creating original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches, and tables).--- Preparing and presenting rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.--- Identifying and troubleshooting UX problems (e.g. responsiveness, usability, accessibility).--- Adjusting designs based on user feedback. Working on complex user experiences.--- Researching and establishing best practices as a part of our UX Community of Practice.--- Adhering to style standards on fonts, colors, and images. Mentoring junior UX designers.--- Coaching team members to champion a user-centered focus.Key Requirements and Technology Experience:--- Bachelor's degree in design, IT, or related fields (UX Design, Graphics Design, Associates in Human Ctr Design, Marketing, etc.) and 2-4 years of experience.--- Years of prior equivalent work-related experience in lieu of a degree (if applicable): 3-7 years.--- Experience in developing both low and high-fidelity UI mock-ups, and prototypes.--- Experience in Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps.--- Solid understanding of digital design patterns, user interface best practices.--- Experience with Sketch and Adobe design tools.Our client is a leading Utility Industry and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
