Cato is seeking an experienced Vice President, Divisional Merchandise Manager, Women's Fashion Bottoms & Jackets to join its junior/missy sportswear area. The position is located at its corporate offices in Charlotte, North Carolina. Responsibilities: * Developing and executing the merchandising strategy by maximizing merchandise contrib ution; * Controlling merchandise receipts and open-to-buy; * Interpreting fashion trends for the Cato customer; * Traveling to stores and competition; * Training and developing merchandising staff; and * Controlling expense budgets and working with product development on exclusive merchandise Job Requirements:Requirements:* Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in Junior/Missy Sportswear apparel retailing along with a minimum of 2 years direct buying responsibility and/or departmental merchandise accountability in a specialty retail organization;* Product development background;* A four-year college degree or equivalent;* Ability to travel with current/valid passport;* Excellent managerial/leadership skills;* Excellent verbal and written communication skills;* Collaborative aptitude; and* Must be able to relocate to Charlotte, North Carolina.
