The Sr. Director, Project/Program Mgmt. is responsible for establishing and leading the Project Management Office and Practice for JELD-WEN's ERP Business Transformation Program. This role is critical in managing and leading the successful delivery of a complex, multi-million-dollar ERP Transformation Program based on SAP S/4HANA technology. The Global PMO Director will be responsible to manage and control scope, secure resources and assess design and delivery issues in collaboration with the business stakeholders, IT legacy teams and 3rd party service providers.

The position will provide project reporting to the JELD-WEN leadership team and Steering Committee. The role will also drive cross-team coordination within the business and technical functions and will anticipate and prepare for major cross-team integration points. The Sr. Director, Global PMO has overall responsibility for the successful completion and delivery of the ERP project by developing a robust governance methodology and approach. The position has overall performance responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables, which includes applying techniques for planning, solution architecture, tracking, change control, and risk management. He or she oversees project teams, work streams, quality management, financial management, in accordance with agreed to standards and guidelines. The candidate will report to the VP, Business Transformation leader who has overall accountability for developing program data, architecture, integrated design, and ERP project delivery.

This will include the hands-on management of ERP projects to include generation of statements of work, project schedules and budgets. Must possess a solid understanding of methodologies and have successfully managed several large-scale ($50m+) multi-year ERP projects with overall responsibility for delivery in a manufacturing environment. They must also have a functional knowledge of business in a complex ERP environment (finance, manufacturing, logistics, etc.).

The Director, Global PMO will be expected to package project-based initiatives formally for presentations to steering committees to obtain funding and approvals. In addition, they will manage directly or indirectly small and large project teams of functional and technical resources, solution architects, data management/conversion teams, functional business liaisons, and other project resources, and must be able to develop standard work and manage quality, cost and schedule in a high pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop strong relationships with senior business leaders and Global IT leadership team.

Promote a "business/customer-first" mentality at all levels of the IT organization.

Establish, develop, deploy and continuously improve the JW PM Methodology for ERP globally: accountable for formalizing processes, tools, templates, and a matrixed organization to promote and accomplish a deliver on promise (scope, cost, schedule, resources, communication, change management, training, risk/assumptions/constraints).

Leverage existing project management processes (i.e. Gate reviews)

Work closely with JEM (JELD-WEN Excellence Model) team in the development of standard work for processes and system implementations.

Lead/support development and implementation of company's data and integration strategy.

Develop overall global program roadmap based on business priorities and value leveraging existing legacy systems/data/process where appropriate as part of the long-term roadmap.

Review/adjust roadmap as needed with a formal review each annual budgeting cycle.

Establish a secure and compliant IT environment including, but not limited to supporting the corporate IT security strategy & initiatives, IT general controls and other audit and/or compliance related activities. Ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of relevant data.

Create global design standards and guidelines to ensure a cost efficient, stable, and scalable solution

Create and provide oversight on applicable ERP and ERP related projects, this includes development of project deliverables, budgets, schedules, etc.

Prepare, review program actuals/forecast and variance analysis on a monthly basis

Develop standards for functional and technical specifications, testing, release management and change control.

Develop and implement documentation standards and change control procedures

Establish metrics for managing program effectiveness and for measuring the impact of program on the business.

Lead/support infrastructure architecture and instance strategy for business transformation program.

Serve as the customer liaison ensuring proper communications, coordination of activities, scope management, change control, issues management, risk management, deliverable quality assurance and milestone achievement.

Develop post go-live hyper-care support model with performance baselines and stabilization metrics/targets.

Develop process to transition services to on-going support.

Interact with the management team and user base to ensure proper alignment of business goals with ERP initiatives.

Provide experience and expertise in gathering business requirements and conducting business process analysis and mapping.

Facilitate customer meetings to ensure ERP/business alignment.

Attract, develop, and retain high performing Project Managers to support the necessary workstreams within the program.

Key Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in technology or related field.

Minimum 15 years in Information Technology, ERP, and Project Management

Minimum 10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.

Minimum 10 years Project management experience using structured methodology.

Minimum 10 years ERP implementation experience (SAP S/4HANA preferred) and leading the following types of projects: Software development, product evaluations/selection, ERP implementations, packaged software installs and upgrades and infrastructure/platform management.

Knowledge of a range of vendor technology solutions; able to select and integrate the most appropriate technologies to support the business, including but not limited to emerging technologies.

Extensive knowledge of and experience with business relationship management, change management and global transformation initiatives.

Build strong technology vendor partnerships, and the ability to manage multiple vendor relationships to ensure the best performance and financial return, including SaaS, cloud-based, and outsourced solutions.

Proficient with Microsoft Office and project management tools

Experience designing and managing an effective IT governance framework across the spectrum of IT service delivery.

Strong working knowledge in financial management and capital forecasting

Strong oral and written communication skills with excellent presentation skills

Worked with remote \ distributed global project teams

Proven project planning skills (organizational and time management)

High level of interpersonal skills - has ability to manage customer expectations.

Has demonstrated the ability to work with, lead, motivate and develop a team

Knowledge of a formal project management, application development, process analysis methodologies and supporting processes i.e. change control process

Preferences:

Excellent knowledge of development methodologies, current technology, and products

Past exposure and involvement in Project Management Office (PMO) setup

Large IT leadership experience (60+ people)
