Director, Mobile Engineering

Engineering at Lowe’s Digital organization, you will be directing
and overseeing a team of global engineering talent.You will foster
an open engineering culture that encourages collaborative decision
making. We are seeking an inspiring, technically savvy,
consumer product focused leader who is passionate about building
best in-class customer mobile experiences as well as engineering
complex, secure and high-quality reliable mobile apps.
· Lead the management of complete product portfolio and oversee
large team of iOS and Android engineers and owns engineering
efforts of consumer mobile apps that requires design, build and
maintain solutions within a set of technology products.
Work across teams to support and leverage a shared technical
Builds and maintains partnerships with all functions to ensure
technology team members understand business needs, functional
specifications, and user journeys.
· Partners with the product team to establish the priorities
across an entire portfolio of product groups.
· Ensures mechanisms are in place that allow teams to resolve
production issues within defined SLAs.
· Foster the “you built it; you own it" culture. Engineers own
the quality of the code, support and maintain it.
· Demonstrate a high affinity to combine highly technical
hands-on software architecture guidance and be an effective
· Provides leadership to the team by attracting and hiring
talented individuals, setting goals and communicating clear
expectations, providing timely and constructive feedback as well as
meaningful developmental opportunities, managing performance,
providing resources and support as needed, and sponsoring and
leading team members through change.
· Hires, trains, and develops talent for growth opportunities;
monitors team/individual’s morale and engagement to maintain highly
effective and collaborative environments.
· Partners with the product team to help inform the priorities
within a set of products, applications, and/or services.
· Experience with publishing mobile apps in public/consumer
facing mobile app stores.
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related
· 10+ years of IT experience
· 5+ years of experience with software development or related
field and working on projects involving the implementation of
software development life cycles
· 3+ years of experience providing technical direction, thought
leadership, mentoring to project or technical team members and
database digital technologies
· 3+ years of experience delivering large scale public-facing
mobile apps (iOS and/or Android)
· 2 years of experience working closely with senior
Master’s Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field
3+ years of experience in the e-Commerce retail industry
4 years of experience in software development in an agile
2+ years of Consulting experience
