Job Description Job Description Job Title: Machine Operator Job Description As a Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in the pre-production department, preparing parts for assembly. You will operate various machines and your primary responsibility will be to transform raw metal materials to the required specifications, ensuring they are properly prepped for the next step in the process. You will also be responsible for coating products, loading oven machines to solidify coatings, and lining parts with appropriate materials. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and the capability to document and record results for team meetings. Responsibilities Operate machines and equipment in accordance with production standards. Perform visual inspections and functional testing Read and follow work instructions, drawings, and production schedules. Troubleshoot and resolve basic to intermediate machine or process issues. Essential Skills Ability to stand for the entirety of the shift. High attention to detail with a focus on producing quality parts. Requirement to wear Steel Toed or Composite Shoes. Manufacturing experience preferred. Experience using hand and power tools. Ability to read, write, and understand English. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and units of measurement. Capability to lift 50lbs occasionally, with most items moved by an overhead hoist. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to read blueprints preferred. Experience in quality control or quality inspection would be nice Machine operation experience required for Tier 2 wage or above. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment consists of a temperature-controlled facility requiring steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and gloves. Employees work on either 1st Shift (7:00 am-3:45 pm) or 2nd Shift (3:45 pm-12:30 am), with training on 1st Shift for the initial weeks. Saturday hours may be mandatory based on business needs. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $23.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
