Unless specifically stated otherwise, this role is "On-Site" at the location detailed in the job post. Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Storeroom Material Handler, 1st Shift. The rate for this position is $18.11 per hour. The core hours are Monday through Thursday from 5:00 am until 3:00 pm. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. What you’ll do: In the Storeroom Material Handler role, you are responsible for receiving and issuing raw materials, assemblies, sub?assemblies, tools, and supplies, as well as forwarding all required documentation to computer services for data entry. You also support planners and buyers with material?availability processes and prepare finished products and raw materials for boxing, packing, and shipping as needed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Contribute to a safe, engaged and inclusive work culture by complying with all policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment, and performing 5S duties. Use a variety of material handling equipment and hand tools to unload and load trucks arriving or leaving from receiving area and for placing material in the proper bin location or delivering material to the wok centers. Identify opportunities for process improvement as well as complete root cause analysis in response to issues with quality or production. Responsible for quality, including visual inspections of material before shipping, identifying nonconforming parts, and troubleshooting errors. Cross train and stand in for other employees/job functions when necessary. Use supply chain tracking systems to maintain inventory Operate a forklift to move material. Other duties as assigned. Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications: High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required. 3 months of experience operating a powered industrial truck (forklift) No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Greenwood, SC will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive abilities, and analytical problem?solving skills. Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups within a team?oriented environment. Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation): Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands to handle or feel objects and materials. Frequently required to stoop and perform tasks involving lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to or exceeding 50 pounds. Vision requirements include near and far vision, depth perception, and color distinction. Work Environment: Regular exposure to noise while performing job duties. Frequent exposure to dust in the work area.
