Full Stack Java Developer Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – 3 days
onsite) Contract Length: 12 months Job ref 245766 This role sits
within a Model Risk Management (MRM) organization supporting
enterprise-level governance and oversight of financial models. The
position is a backfill for an existing team member and focuses on
application development and support within a regulated environment.
The primary application supported is a centralized system of record
for financial models across the enterprise. All financial models
are registered in this platform, which supports the full model
lifecycle including documentation and governance workflows. Key
Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and support a Java-based full
stack application Contribute to complex software engineering
initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning Analyze and
resolve complex technical challenges across application layers
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and
up-to-date system functionality Support governance and
documentation workflows tied to the model lifecycle Ensure
compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Participate in design, development, testing, and production support
activities Work within a controlled, regulated environment
requiring strong system reliability and transparency Application
Context Supports a system of record for enterprise financial models
Enables end-to-end model lifecycle management, including: Model
Definition Documentation (MDD) Governance workflows Works alongside
external validation teams responsible for independent model
validation Environment & Technical Profile Core platform built in
Java (required) Full stack development across frontend and backend
components Mid- to senior-level role requiring strong hands-on
development experience Operates in a rapidly evolving space
influenced by GenAI and advanced modeling approaches , increasing
the need for strong system controls Required Qualifications 5 years
of software engineering experience (or equivalent combination of
experience, training, or education) Strong experience with
Java-based application development Experience supporting full stack
applications (frontend and backend) Ability to analyze complex,
large-scale technical challenges Experience working in environments
with compliance, policies, and governance requirements Preferred
Experience Financial services domain experience, particularly in:
Risk management Model governance Regulatory or controlled
environments Familiarity with financial or risk-related concepts
Additional Notes This role emphasizes application development and
support , not model development Strong technical capability is
prioritized over specialized domain expertise
