Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Role Summary: • Provide
leadership in the ETL and Data Development space for web based
projects, from the requirements phase through delivery, with
preferred financial industry experience. • Responsible for meeting
development schedules and delivering high quality solutions that
meet technical specifications and design requirements • Contribute
to and/or lead the specification and software design phases of the
software development life cycle • Performing and aiding in quality
assurance testing, performance testing, troubleshooting application
and environment issues, and production support Description: •
Manage the technical delivery of multiple projects on-time,
on-budget and with targeted zero defects • Managing Developers and
Senior Developers on web development projects from requirements
through delivery • Provide planning, estimation, scheduling,
prioritization and coordination of technical activities related to
system development • Ensure system alignment to Enterprise
Architecture policies and best practices; ensure that process
methodologies are followed in system development • Accountable to
business and technology management for end to end application
scoping, planning, development and delivery that meets and exceeds
quality standards • Oversee creation and approval of technical
documentation including the Solution Definition document and
Technical Design document; ensure documentation is aligned to the
Functional Requirements and uses document templates that meet SDLC
standards • Identify and manage dependencies and downstream impacts
of the project to minimize adverse effects on other projects and /
or programs • Manage day to day technical challenges and
communicate to project manager any risks or issues associated with
the development activities • Assist Project manager with the
estimation of technical timelines and allocation of the technical
resources to specific task • Coordinate coding and unit testing
phases of system development and facilitate Code Reviews • Identify
opportunities for system reuse and system simplification •
Communicate Expectations, Roles and Responsibilities to team
members and hold them accountable to meet the expectations •
Collaborate with IT partners to devise capacity plan and ensure
appropriate infrastructure for the end to end system delivery
Qualifications: • 12 years of IBM Infosphere Datastage 8x/11x • 12
years of Oracle experience version 10g, 11g, 12c • Experience Unix
shell scripting and Autosys is a huge plus • Strong understanding
of relational databases, oracle functions, procedures, triggers and
packages • Experience in performance tuning and resolving
performance issues both batch processing jobs • and SQL queries •
Strong experience in building the reusable ETL components in
DataStage • Extensive experience gathering data requirements and
building ETL Data Mapping Documents • Knowledge of Data Management
Strategies (ETL Frameworks, Data Modeling concepts) • Strong
understanding of clean, reusable ETL designs and techniques •
Strong problem solving abilities, the ability to help troubleshoot
code • Experience in Teradata and any NoSQL DB’s would be nice to
have • Experience with integration using Kafka would be nice to
have • Working experience of Scrum / Agile Methodologies and fast
development. • Prioritizes own and others’ time and effort to
deliver on project priorities • Performs complex tasks executing
and modifying processes, plans and design when needed • Prioritizes
project budget and resources to deliver on project priorities •
Good communication skills, analytical thinking and problem
solving
