based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an
analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and

of benefits to its employees. Role Description SMBC Americas
Division is seeking a Senior Developer to join our newly formed
Agile Product team within the Business Intelligence & Strategic
Data department. This role will focus on building a robust ESG
Sustainability Data Platform using Microsoft Power Platform, Azure,
and other modern technologies. The ideal candidate will have a
strong foundation in software development principles and experience
building scalable, secure, and user-friendly solutions. Role
Objectives: Delivery • Design and develop custom solutions using
Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and SharePoint Online. •
Build reusable components and ensure adherence to DRY principles,
entity modeling, and SDLC best practices. • Collaborate with
business stakeholders to translate ESG requirements into technical
solutions. • Integrate with external systems and data sources,
including Azure services and SQL databases. • Support data
governance, quality assurance, and interoperability with Tokyo Head
Office systems. • Mentor junior developers and contribute to Agile
ceremonies and sprint planning. • Ensure regulatory readiness and
compliance through robust system design. Qualifications and Skills
• 10 years of software development experience, including 5 years
with Microsoft Power Platform. • Strong understanding of software
engineering fundamentals: entity management, data modeling, design
patterns. • Experience with C#, Azure, and SharePoint Online. •
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, JIRA, and SDLC processes. •
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. •
Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality
solutions under tight deadlines. Preferred Qualifications •
Microsoft Power Platform certifications (Developer, Functional
Consultant, Solution Architect). • Experience in ESG, compliance,
or financial services domains. • Knowledge of cloud platforms
(Azure preferred, AWS/GCP a plus). • Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset. SMBC’s employees
