TITLE: Sr. Manager, Software DeveloperLOCATION: Charlotte, NC : Provide technical solutions and management through the translation of end-user needs and business requirements into high level and detailed design and functional architecture. Perform technical management and solutions for communication platforms to deliver customer communications, including Email, SMS, and Voice, leveraging internal software, tools, and third-party cloud technologies. Provide technical direction to the project team of software professionals engaged in implementation of large-scale projects in distributed development environments. Work with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate business requirements into technical implementation using Java and Java Enterprise (J2EE). Design and develop new systems while minimizing maintenance requirements. Perform maintenance and enhancement to existing systems. Perform detailed design work for workflows, business rules, end-user interfaces, and reports. Provide mentoring and feedback to the development team on technical matters and team deliverables. Ensure systems are built for change, scalability, and reusability. Create Proofs of Concept (POCs) to demonstrate quick adoption of time to market tools and techniques. Work on monthly release lead for activities, including continuous integration and continuous deployment, using GIT, Creating Release Branches, and Jenkins Build processes. Provide guidance on technical issues. Develop and review test conditions and test scripts to identify gaps and vulnerabilities. Develop web applications using Java and J2EE. Utilize frameworks to create rest web service Application Programming Interfaces (APIs); utilize database technologies including Oracle 10G, MySQL, Maria DB, MS SQL, and MongoDB; utilize Java Application Frameworks including Spring, Spring boot, JPA, and Hibernate; and utilize messaging systems including Kafka, Rabbit MQ, ActiveMQ, and JMS.N/AEDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; 6 years of experience developing web applications using Java and J2EE Tech stack; 6 years of experience with frameworks including Spring MVC or Jersey, Restlet, or OkHttp to create rest web service Application Programing Interfaces (APIs) and microservice architecture; 6 years of experience utilizing database technologies including Oracle, MySQL or Maria DB, MS SQL, or MongoDB; 5 years of experience working with data flow tools including Apache NiFi or BPM tools including Camunda; 4 years of experience utilizing Java Application Frameworks including Spring, Spring boot, JPA, or Hibernate; 4 years of experience with messaging systems including Kafka enterprise event streaming or Rabbit MQ, ActiveMQ, or JMS; 3 years of experience using CI/CD and GitOps continuous delivery tools and platforms including Maven/Gradle, Jenkins/TeamCity, Argo CD, and Google Skaffold; 3 years of experience performing technical management.
