Title: Senior Embedded Software Systems Engineer - 93723
Onsite/Remote:Partial Remote Position

This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.

This position may be located in Urbandale, IA, Moline, IL, Cary, NC or Fargo, ND per the hiring manager's discretion. This may be dependent on the successful candidate's background, experience, and proficiency.

Your Responsibilities

As a Lead Embedded Software Systems Engineer within ISG Tech Stack, Embedded Infrastructure located in one of the following locations including Urbandale IA, Moline IL, Cary NC, Fargo ND you will

  • Work closely with teams leading key strategic automation projects to identify infrastructure solutions and support needs.
  • Assist in integration and software development activities around infrastructure systems ( Embedded Operating System, reprogramming, Diagnostics etc) into John Deere products.
  • Provide Technical leadership, lead proof of concepts/technology development and support first adopters on application of new core technologies. VISA Sponsorship is NOT Available for this position

    What Skills You Need
    • 5-7 or more years Embedded Systems Experience
    • Understanding of Network Protocols (CAN, LIN, ETH)
    • Knowledge in troubleshooting embedded software issues
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills
    • Ability and willingness to work in a diverse team environment, helping others on the team succeed

      What Makes You Stand Out
      • Ability to work with cross functional stakeholders (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, product design, marketing, etc) to understand customer requirements and how those can be translated into software requirements and implementations
      • Ability to learn quickly, adapt, and willingness to keep growing skills to contribute to an evolving team
      • Focus and passion for developing innovative technical solutions to solve customer problems
      • Background with John Deere products and product development engineering experience in software and electrical systems.
      • Experience with high power electrical systems.

        Education

        Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
        • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other engineering related field
