The Enterprise CTO organization, a division of Optum Technology, is responsible for defining the enterprise technology strategy in alignment with the United Health Group (UHG) vision, mission, and strategy. This team innovates technology transformation across the UHG enterprise to improve healthcare. -The Enterprise CTO is uniquely positioned to help solve challenging problems that face our healthcare system today. By serving the whole of UHG, the ECTO is uniquely positioned to leverage technology to serve complex problems challenging many of our consumers and internal lines of business. -

We are looking for an experienced Agile leader who has the necessary skills to lead and coach a team of Agile Practitioners, participate in organizational planning, metrics development and demand management process improvement. You will analyze the organization's existing practices and implement improvements to help streamline processes and create efficiencies. Additionally, you will participate in business strategy planning, organizational alignment across product verticals and leadership progress reviews. -Ultimately, you will play a key role in the long-term strategy across the entire organization, helping our teams to deliver better products in a faster, more efficient manner. -

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Lead team of Agile practitioners - be the expert
  • Act as ScrumMaster for one or more Agile teams as necessary
  • Serve as an escalation point for Agile Practitioners and other team members -
  • Track and analyze performance metrics across multiple teams, products, and services
  • Plan and execute monthly business reviews for senior leadership
  • Establish demand management and work intake processes for multiple products and services
  • Promote and advocate a culture of continuous improvement, setting goals and milestones and being accountable for them
  • Drive cultural change by championing an agile mindset and ensure the organization is at the forefront of industry best practices

    Required Qualifications:


    • 5+ years as an Agile Coach
    • 5+ years in Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe, LeSS)
    • 3+ years in people leadership or management
    • 3+ years scheduling, conducting planning meetings and managing capacity
    • 2+ years of managing project level financials
    • 1+ years interfacing with, and influencing decisions of direct reports to senior leaders


      Preferred Qualifications:


      • Agile framework certification(s) such as CSM, SAFe, etc.
      • Healthcare experience; preferably at large or national scale
      • Experience communicating with and influence thinking of C-Suite executives

        Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $97,300 to $176,900. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada/New York City residents is $97,300 to $176,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
