Today, Piedmont Plastics is currently hiring for a Front-End Web
Development Specialist to add to our Marketing team. This position
will collaborate with a close-knit marketing team to develop and
enhance web and mobile web user interfaces. You will be responsible
for using the knowledge of programming languages to code visual
elements and overall layout of the company's internal and external
websites - translating UI/UX design wireframes to actual code by
combining the art of design with the science of programming.
This role also has the opportunity to work remote 2 days per
week!
In this position, you will be required to:
* Work with the team to assist in the development and design of
internal and external websites
* Translate UI/UX designs into web front-end code that is dynamic,
efficient, responsive, and adaptable across devices and
browsers
* Produce, maintain, and modify websites and user interfaces as
they are developed
* Assist in creating tools that enhance the user's website
experience, as well as enhancing ways to manage the site for
employees
* Ensure websites are accessible across many platforms, including
laptops and mobile devices
* Routinely test websites for ease of use, speed, and other quality
factors
* Collaborate with team members and subject matter experts
* Bridge the gap between graphic design and technical
implementation
* Enhance applications for maximum speed and scalability
* Troubleshoot and resolve any front-end issues or bugs that
arise
* Other duties may be assigned
To be successful in this position, an ideal candidate will
have:
* At least one year of experience as a Front-End Web Developer.
* An Associate Degree or higher in Computer Science or related
field is preferred, but not required
* Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS and modern front-end
technologies such as Vue.js, Tailwind CSS (Experience and examples
with responsive and adaptive design)
* Extensive experience in website programming languages such as
HTML, CSS (Tailwind CSS) and JS (Vue.js) along with code versioning
and knowledge of optimization techniques for high traffic sites
* Experience using the Laravel Framework, a PHP Framework, and
front-end technologies like React or Livewire is preferred, but not
required
* Understanding of key website design principles and SEO
optimization
* Ability to use team input to create functional, creative, and
user-friendly webpages
* Extensive knowledge of testing and debugging websites
