firmly behind our work.We are currently seeking Supervisors - HVAC
Field Services for our Charlotte, NC location!Job Summary:
- The Supervisor - HVAC Services/Field Services supports the
Operations Manager and the HVAC Maintenance Crew in a variety of
functions to include training and some supervision while managing
their day to day workload and installations. Essential
Duties/Responsibilities*:
- Run HVAC Service calls 3 days per week, 3-4 calls per day.
- Performs ride-a-longs with Technicians and assist as needed on
the job site with any noted technical/sales/pricing
challenges.
- Provide regular coaching and feedback, evaluating performance,
and applying discipline as needed.
- Setting work priorities and evaluating work load and schedules
to maximize production.
- Providing ongoing technical and communication training to team
as needed to increase performance.
- Manage hiring, scheduling, and completing daily/weekly time
sheets.
- Effectively manage conflict resolution with customers and/or
peers through clear communication, addressing all concerns,
questions, or problems expediently.
- Ensure materials and equipment are ordered and distributed for
scheduled jobs.
- Assist with dispatching of services to appropriate
Technician.
- Ensure each job is completed on time and to customer
satisfaction and perform on-site inspections.
- Assists with oversight of safety reporting.
- Assists in providing accurate reports and updates on labor
costs, work scheduling, billing, and payroll.
- Participate in all company sponsored training classes.
- Assists with technical calls for Technicians and performs job
site evaluations.
- Facilitates technical training meetings to assist Technicians
as needed.
- Fills in for Operations Manager on an as needed basis with
training and timesheets, etc.
- Continually searches for ways to improve results and
effectiveness.
- Provides regular performance updates and recommendation to
senior management
- Provides ongoing supervision, training, coaching and feedback
to improve performance and meet objectives of all assigned areas to
ensure optimal performance.
- Provides leadership to designated teams through effective
objective setting, delegation, and communication based on direction
from senior management.
- Addresses issues of concern related to performance providing
constructive and ongoing feedback and consequences if performance
remains below standards.
- Follows safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.* Duties may vary by location.Minimum
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 5-7 years experience in construction, HVAC or related
experience
- 1-2 years of people management experience
- Relevant work experience can be substituted for education
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to communicate in English effectively, both
verbally and in writing
- Beginner computing skills and able to use a computer, laptop or
tablet.
- Basic proficiency in navigating the internet and email software
such as Microsoft Outlook
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to work overtime with little notice; weekend hours may
occasionally be required
- Ability to manage projects and resourcesPreferred
Qualifications:
- HVAC trade school certification
- EPA Certification Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Majority of work will take place at occupied residential homes
and/or construction sites. Minimal time spent in an office
environment.
- Travel by vehicle to and from work locations
- Regularly exposed to construction environments involving
equipment, elevated work areas, confined spaces, noise, dust,
hazardous materials and odors
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, exposed to all
weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while
wearing appropriate PPEPhysical Requirements:
- Must be able to drive and operate a motorized passenger vehicle
or forklift
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently
- Frequently performs tasks requiring climbing, bending at the
waist, crawling, kneeling, crouching
- Must be able to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways,
and occasionally work on platforms/scaffolding (using the
appropriate fall protection requirements)
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment
(PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses, ear
plugs, masks/respirators, reflective safety vests, gloves and
safety toe, construction-grade work boots
- Must be able to adhere to long periods of standing, walking or
sitting
- Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and/or other
sounds to operate phones or other equipment safely.
- With natural or corrected vision, able to see and focus for
close, distance, peripheral vision with normal depth
perception
- Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken
word to impart oral information to others
- Ability to enter text or data into a hand-held device or
computer by means of a traditional keyboard or 10-key numeric
keypad
- Must be able to use arms and hands to reach overhead, signal,
grab, hold, lift, turn, push and pull objects and tools
