- Accurate preparation, documentation, distribution,
reconciliation, and administration of the payroll activities
onsite
- Review payroll calculations and associated deductions for
accuracy
- Maintains up to data knowledge of city, state, provincial,
local, and federal legislation affecting payroll
- Understands, follows, teaches the delivery team on the
provisions and legislation
- Performs W2 corrections and tax reclassifications - prior
experience essential
- Responds to and resolves any queries relating paychecks or
reporting
- Manages processing of the mails/ notices / inputs coming into
the payroll office - this includes scanning and printing of
checks
- Process accurate yearend reporting (W2, W2C, 1099, 1095C);
Person should be able to do the mapping of pay components with the
different yearend forms
- Prepare, manage, audit and report statistical data requested by
labor department and other government agencies
- Process legal settlements and other payments managed out of
Charlotte
- Proactively identifies areas of process improvements,
opportunities for productivity, efficiency and implements the
same
- Minimum 2 to 4 years of payroll experience WE VALUE
- Associate degree
- Experience with US and Canadian payroll
- Advanced Excel experience
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local payroll policies and
procedures
- Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to
multi-task to consistently meet deadlines
- Experience with PeopleSoft Payroll or comparable ERP system
