It all begins with outstanding talent. It all begins with you. About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Control Management Officer for our Human Resources Group. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated team player that has expertise in risk management or related disciplines, is a self-starter who is accustomed to working in complex organizations with a diverse group of stakeholders, and someone who is able to withstand challenges and adapt accordingly. They will also have a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong credible relationships with key stakeholder groups including leaders within the HR Control team, Enterprise and across the HR organization to achieve success. In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives designed to mitigate current and emerging risks with broad impact
  • Act as key participant in monitoring, evaluating, and measuring the impact of decisions practiced in Control Management functional area
  • Monitor moderately complex business specific programs, and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk-mitigation strategies
  • Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area
  • Develop and implement risk monitoring and risk reporting processes and controls
  • Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance in developing and implementing risk-mitigating strategies
  • Lead Control Management project or virtual teams
  • Facilitate end to end issue management for issues owned by the business
  • Validate action plans and perform sustainability validation of issues owned by the business
  • Perform root cause and theme/trend identification leading to proactive mitigation of issues
  • Report findings and develop business cases to influence senior management on the need for controls to mitigate risk Required Qualifications:
    • 5+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications:
      • Experience with Control Management, monitoring and documentation experience
      • Experience with Operations Servicing and Operational Risk
      • Experience with Human Resources compliance or operational risk, Policies and procedures with in the financial services industry
      • Experience collaborating with multiple senior-level business and human resources partners
      • Business consultation experience in defining key performance metrics, dashboards, or scorecards
      • Experience identifying key issues, involve affected parties, design solutions, obtain buy-in, and communicate effectively through resolution
      • Experience determining the root cause of identified issues
      • Six Sigma, Black Belt, or Green Belt Certification is a plus
      • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
      • Experience coordinating multiple tasks within aggressive time frames Job Expectations:

        • NYC Comp range $133,300 - $237,100 Annual
        • Expected to be in the office 3 days a week
