Job Requirements The Spartanburg Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program in Spartanburg, South Carolina is a national leader in community family medicine education. We are seeking to add a Family Medicine Faculty Physician to our core faculty . The program is affiliated with both the Medical University of South Carolina and the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine – Carolinas Campus. Highlights of the position include: 12 Family Medicine residents per year First in the state to receive ACGME Osteopathic Recognition Balanced outpatient and inpatient settings with approximately 6 inpatient weeks annually Largest program in the state Collegial faculty Job benefits: PSLF affiliated hospital Paid interview, relocation and malpractice insurance to include tail coverage $6,000 CME annually & 30 days of time off per year Premium retirement options and health benefits The successful candidate must have the ability to obtain a SC medical license, have Family Medicine board certification, have a love of teaching, and a background of practical experience or faculty development fellowship. Prior academic teaching is not required but is preferred. The ideal candidate will have POCUS or Sports Medicine training. Obstetrical care is encouraged but not required.
