TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified
CVICU RN in Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27103! Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular
Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours
per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Critical Care
experience. License: Current RN license required. Certifications:
ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required, with additional preferred
certifications. Must-Have: - CVICU or open heart experience. -
Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. - ECMO and
Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) experience. - Experience with
postoperative cardiac surgery patients. - Proficiency in pulmonary
artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring. - Familiarity with Transcatheter
Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) and Ventricular Assist Devices
(LVAD/RVAD). - Competence in arterial line management and blood
product administration. - Continuous IV sedation and titration of
cardiac drips. - Ability to care for ventilated patients and
interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs). - Knowledge of isolation
precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE). Description:
This is a position in a post-open heart recovery unit. The role
involves caring for patients recovering from open heart procedures.
Additional responsibilities may include managing thoracotomies,
esophagogastrectomies, and TAVR procedures. The unit utilizes
continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), Impella, and IABP.
Staffing ratios are 1:1 at night and 2:1 on weekends.
Self-scheduling is utilized to meet the needs of the unit.
Candidate must be comfortable with floating based on skill sets and
census demands. Candidates must work every other weekend and a
commitment to work 2 out of 3 major holidays is required. 5
