Job Description Job Description Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience required. An opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide specialized support in a school setting located in Albemarle, NC. This travel position is ideal for an experienced school-based OT seeking a part-time, flexible work schedule through the end of the school year, with potential for renewal. The selected candidate will hold an active state OT license and bring previous school-based occupational therapy experience. This role focuses on supporting evaluations and supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs). There will be no responsibility for managing an independent caseload, allowing the OT to concentrate fully on evaluation and supervisory duties. Key Responsibilities: Conduct school-based occupational therapy evaluations to assess student needs Support Individualized Education Program (IEP) related services in collaboration with educators and therapists Provide supervision and guidance to COTAs to ensure quality care and compliance Collaborate with a solo OT to enhance therapy services within the school environment Desired Experience and Qualifications: Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice Proven experience working specifically in school-based occupational therapy settings Strong knowledge of IEP processes and educational regulations Ability to supervise and mentor COTAs effectively Excellent communication and organizational skills Location and Schedule: This is a travel position based in Albemarle, North Carolina Part-time hours with flexible scheduling, determined by candidate availability Assignment runs ASAP through the end of the school year, with the possibility of extension Compensation and Interview Process: Competitive hourly pay rate between $50 and $55 Virtual interview process conducted via Microsoft Teams This role offers a unique chance to contribute to student success through targeted therapeutic support while accommodating a flexible schedule.
