This travel nursing opportunity in Winston-Salem, NC, offers a dynamic clinical environment focused on Stepdown and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) patients. The role requires a dedicated RN with strong cardiac tele monitoring experience and expertise in managing complex care scenarios within a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio. You will contribute to high-quality patient outcomes at a well-established healthcare facility known for comprehensive cardiac and critical care services. Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care in the Stepdown/PCU setting, managing acutely ill patients requiring close monitoring. Manage and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias using EKG and telemetry equipment. Safely titrate intravenous drips and manage peripheral, PICC lines. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and support patient recovery. Adapt to floating between multiple campuses as needed. Maintain compliance with mandatory EKG certification and other facility-specific requirements. Work a 3x12-hour day shift rotation (7:00 AM 7:30 PM), including weekend and holiday rotations, with no on-call duties. Qualifications: Current RN license with a minimum of 2 years of recent PCU or Stepdown unit experience. Proven cardiac telemetry skills including dysrhythmia management. Certification in ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale. Familiarity with peripheral and PICC line care and titration of drips. Ability to work within the required nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5. Flexibility to float among various hospital campuses. Open to first-time travelers with readiness to comply with client policies on punctuality and scheduling.
