Experience with patients requiring mechanical ventilation,
tracheostomies, and titratable IV drips Description: RN position in
the Progressive Care Unit. The facility does not have a trauma
designation. It is a teaching hospital and has a Chest Pain Center
and Stroke Center. The unit has 36 beds with an average census of
36. Patient types and common diagnoses include COPD, heart failure,
cardiac arrhythmias, renal failure, sepsis, and more. Typical
patient ratios are 1:3-4 for RNs and 1:9 for CNAs. Required skills
include experience with trached/vented patients, cardiac medication
management, and wound care. Support within the department includes
CNAs for patient care, virtual nursing assistance, and a dedicated
pharmacist available 24/7. Floating may be required within the
region as necessary, and travelers will be paid for travel time
between facilities if floating mid-shift. The unit culture values
