Labor and Delivery Description: The Labor and Delivery Registered
Nurse will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, and
implementing direct clinical care for assigned patients on a
per-shift basis. This role involves the supervision of staff to
whom appropriate care is delegated. The Labor and Delivery RN is
accountable for supporting the facility leadership in ensuring
high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care. Competency of
clinical staff and appropriate resource management related to
patient care are essential responsibilities of this role. 5
