Job Description Job Description Nursing degree, active
registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience
required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not
be considered. A registered nurse with a solid background in
operating room procedures is wanted for a contract position in the
Charlotte, NC area. This role demands a minimum of five years of OR
experience, including expertise in circulating and scrubbing across
a wide variety of surgical specialties. The position features a
12-hour day shift schedule on a rotating basis with call
responsibilities and holiday coverage expectations. Key
Qualifications: - Current NC RN license and Basic Life Support
(BLS) certification required; CNOR preferred. - Minimum of 5 years
of experience as an Operating Room RN. - Proficiency in circulating
for trauma, orthopedic trauma and total joints, spine, cardiac,
vascular, gynecology including oncology, robotics, general surgery,
bariatrics, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, pain management, and
plastic surgeries. - Night shift candidates must have charge nurse
experience and scrubbing skills. - Comfort with laparoscopic, open
abdominal, orthopedic trauma, cystoscopy, vascular, and robotic
procedures is highly advantageous. - Ability to respond to cases
with flexibility, strong initiative, and effective teamwork.
Responsibilities: - Circulate and scrub on cases across diverse
surgical specialties. - Participate in a weekend rotation every
fourth week with scheduled shifts and on-call duties. - Respond to
call shifts within a 45-minute timeframe, including nights and
weekends. - Collaborate with clinical supervisors, charge nurses,
educators, and technical staff to maintain smooth OR operations. -
Complete facility and departmental orientation prior to starting.
