A dynamic opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with Operating Room expertise to contribute to advanced surgical care in a well-equipped, Level 3 Trauma facility. This contract position is located in the Monroe, NC area, offering a vibrant healthcare environment dedicated to multiple specialties including trauma, orthopedic surgery, bariatrics, robotics, and more. Key Responsibilities: - Circulate and assist during surgeries, including trauma, ortho trauma, spine, cardiac, vascular, gynecological, robotic, and general surgical cases. - Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient safety and care. - Perform charge nurse duties and demonstrate proficiency in scrubbing, with the ability to manage emergent case requests and adapt quickly during night shifts. - Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and professional nursing standards. - Support smooth department operations and participate in call rotations and holiday coverage. Qualifications & Desired Experience: - Active NC RN license and valid BLS certification; CNOR preferred but not mandatory. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in Operating Room nursing. - Prior charge nurse experience and scrubbing competence, especially in laparoscopic, open surgery, orthopedic trauma, cystoscopy, vascular, and robotics cases. - Self-driven, flexible, and a motivated team player with a keen ability to prioritize in dynamic settings. Schedule & Requirements: - 12-hour day shifts (07:00-19:00), with a weekend rotation every fourth weekend. - On-call duty averaging 6 call shifts every 6 weeks, requiring a 45-minute response time. - Commitment to working approximately 75% of holidays. - Orientation includes new employee and two-day departmental training.
