Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Winston Salem, NC Agency: Revolution Healthcare Services Pay: $1,840 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified PCU RN in Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27103! Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / ICU Stepdown Nurse – North Carolina Start Date: March 2, 2026 Location: Winston-Salem, North Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week; every other weekend required Highlights: ICU stepdown unit with 3:1 or 4:1 patient ratios and 20-bed capacity Strong focus on critical care drips, arterial line management, and advanced telemetry monitoring 13-week contract with flexibility for 36 or 48-hour weekly schedules Epic charting system and Pyxis medication management Diverse patient population including post-op surgical, respiratory distress, GI bleeds, and rapid response patients Floating to sister ICCU unit as needed based on census Requirements: Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care, Stepdown, or ICU nursing experience required Active North Carolina or Compact State RN license (must be in hand at start) Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required Must pass EKG testing prior to start date Strong competency in arterial line management and titrating vasoactive drips including Levophed, Dopamine, Cardizem, Precedex, and Cardene Experience with telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia management, blood product administration, central line and PICC line care, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula IV start skills and conscious sedation experience required First-time travelers accepted; local candidates welcome Why It's a Great Opportunity: This progressive care unit offers an excellent blend of critical thinking and advanced nursing skills in a fast-paced ICU stepdown environment.
