Skills/Experience: Teamwork Neuro experience NIHSS Description:
Orientation is conducted twice monthly. The facility has 355 beds
and includes various specialized centers. There are areas dedicated
to neurology, oncology, cardiology, and various surgical services.
The neuro progressive post-surgical unit has 20 beds with a patient
ratio of 5:1. Equipment used in the unit includes Masimo vital sign
monitors and Zoll. The electronic health records system utilized is
Cerner. The patient population mainly consists of adults and
geriatrics. Common diagnoses treated include stroke, traumatic
brain injury, altered mental status, brain cancer, spine and neck
surgeries, and craniotomies. Ideal candidates should be personable
and able to maintain a sense of humor. Dress code requires scrubs
in any color without cartoons. Nurse-style sweatshirts with hoods
and nurse t-shirts are not permitted except on designated days.
